Garlic & Herb Shrimp Crostini
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 8 oz canned shrimp
- 1 teaspoon fresh garlic
- 1 French bread baguette
- 2 teaspoons fresh chopped basil
- 8 oz cream cheese
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 200°.
- Combine olive oil & garlic.
- Slice baguette.
- Place on baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil and garlic mixture.
- Bake for 5-10 minutes or until lightly toasted.
- Mix shrimp with basil.
- Spread cream cheese on bread and top with shrimp.
My Changes
- The original recipe called to slice the baguette into 36 slices...I have no idea how in the world you could possibly get that many slices out of 1 baguette. I got 12.
- I just drizzled the slices with olive oil and sprinkled with garlic powder...to be perfectly honest, I just didn't feel like chopping garlic that day.
- I also chose to just place the shrimp on the slices and sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Apparently I was lazy that day.
- I think it would be nicer to use jumbo frozen shrimp (versus canned baby shrimp as suggested in this recipe). But I appreciate when brands give out recipes and wanted to support them, at least the first time.
